Drawings and Exhibit A and B
23 · Paper sheets, read

Hand-drawn Exhibit A and B, read, checked by their own totals, and squared up

Hand-drawn sheets get the same check as digital ones. Plenty of reps still draw Exhibit A and B on paper. The app reads the sheet photos that have not been traced yet. A drawing is only accepted when its runs add up to the totals written on that same sheet — the way an install manager checks it. If they don't add up, the job stays on Action Needed, with what didn't add up. Nothing is guessed onto a sheet.

On the digital sheet, Snap to scale tidies a hand drawing. Each run is set to the feet you wrote, squared to the house, with the joints kept together. Tap it again to undo. Partial ticks itself when the notes say no detached garage, house only, left side only, porch only or no 2nd story.

Photos know their side. Each one is placed on the front, back or a side of the house from what is in it: the front door, the driveway, a deck, the A/C unit, matching windows and trees. Which way the wall faces is read from the shadows. That is used to sharpen the drawings and the paperwork checks.

The digital Exhibit sheet in the app: a drawing squared up with Snap to scale, the Partial box ticked, and the totals for each run.
The digital sheet: Snap to scale, Partial and the totals, captured live from the app, with customer details blurred on purpose. The diagram below shows the paper-sheet check step by step. Tap the image to fill the screen.

How you use it
  1. Take a clear photo of each paper sheet, as usual. It is read for you.
  2. If Action Needed says a sheet didn't add up, fix the sheet or the total and photograph it again.
  3. Drew it by hand on the digital sheet? Tap Snap to scale. Tap again to undo.

What it does, step by step

  1. Photograph each paper sheet as usual. It is read for you.
  2. A drawing is accepted only when its runs add up to the totals written on that sheet.
  3. If it doesn't add up, the job stays on Action Needed with the reason.
  4. On the digital sheet, Snap to scale sets each run to its feet and squares it up. Partial ticks itself from the notes.

Errors it prevents Guesstimates

Time figures are typical estimates for an active rep, not guarantees. Error figures are guesstimates for a rep closing about 10 jobs a month. Both vary with the rep, the office and the job.
